Video for students + Teachers

We recommend introducing your students to NBC the week of your first book delivery.

Watch our three-minute video to learn more about:

  • How NBC works.

  • Special “I LOVE READING” cards inside each book.

  • Why student feedback matters every week.

  • NBC’s commitment to nurturing reader identity.

INTERACTIVE BOOKMARKS + STUDENT FEEDBACK

Student feedback is at the heart of NBC’s work. Each week students can return completed bookmarks to their teacher or librarian. This is a space for students to let us know their thoughts on the book. Did they like it? Did they hate it? Would they recommend it to a friend? Do they have any special book requests? Even if students have not finished reading their books, they can still complete their bookmark, just letting us know how it’s going. Every bookmark helps us curate a collection of books students are EXCITED to read!

I love reading CARDS

We know the value that comes from kids connecting with other kids. Each NBC book includes a message from another K-5th grade reader in Nashville. “I love reading because I feel calm when I’m doing it.” “Reading is important to me because it gives knowledge and that needs to be shared.” “I hope you enjoy this book!”
